Our sustainable and versatile Railroader Console complements any entryway or studio space, suited to hold your favorite novels, magazines and other display-worthy treasures. From conception to construction, the one of a kind console is steeped in Windy City nostalgia. The custom steel brackets, whose design is inspired by the criss-crossing trusses of the Wells Street Bridge, link two pieces of Chicago history. The legs, circa 1872, enjoyed a former life as the base of a Lathe, a piece of machinery used to create baseball bats and other wooden objects. The richly hued lumber beams, salvaged from our industrial past, represent vintage Chicago architecture.
