National City Batch Plant

An industrial area adjacent to the terminus of a former railway provided an opportunity to celebrate the history of local public transportation while creating a piece of civic art. The concrete batch plant is transformed with an external fabric screen and bright color scheme (corresponding to the railway logo colors) to insert artistic pride into the formerly banal utilitarian vernacular.
