Logan Certified, our new mixed use development, is nearing completion, and we have a gorgeous one bedroom with loft apartment replete with sustainable features, available for rent starting this May. This Logan Square loft apartment will be part of our new addition, built atop a formerly aging food & liquor store that we’ve transformed (via adaptive reuse) into our new studio. The moss studio features radiant floor heating, and a commercial space that’s also available for rent. Come check out both rental spaces this Saturday, April 22 at our open house/studio party. We’ll have snacks from Saigon Sisters, beer from Revolution Brewing, and the La Adelita Food Truck will be parked out front. Stop on by for a taco, a brew, and a dose of green architecture—don’t miss it!!
CLOSE TO THE HEART OF LOGAN SQUARE
The one bedroom loft apartment is perfect for enjoying all that Logan Square has to offer. Walking distance from the neighborhood’s heart and steps from its grassy boulevards, it is also close to the Logan Square Blue Line station, Diversey bus and the freeway. Our priority when designing the loft was tons of natural lighting, as well as creating a full-featured space that offers privacy and peace, while being plugged into city living. As architects and designers ourselves, we developed this space to be exactly the kind of place we would like to live in. Cat not included.

BEAUTIFUL AND SUSTAINABLE: HARDWOOD FLOORS, NATURAL LIGHT AND PASSIVE DESIGN
The open-feel loft apartment has reclaimed hardwood floors (a moss signature) and large north facing glass that is fully optimized for natural daylighting, and as it’s a second floor addition, it will assuredly get plenty. It also features an energy star water heater and high-performance thermal insulation for the lovely full throttle two seasons we get here in Chicago. Good insulation goes both ways; it helps the unit release heat in the winter, and absorb it in the summer, lowering energy bills. North and South roof overhangs, tenants of good passive design, help in this process as well. For the health of you and the environment, all the paint is low-VOC. The bathroom features subway tile and a nice big window.
Main living area
SUNNY, BRIGHT AND OPEN WITH PRIVATE DECK AND PRIVATE ENTRY STAIR
The Logan Square loft apartment was also built with the understanding that for the modern worker, work doesn’t always stay in the office (or even begin and end there). With this in mind, we built an office space that is distinct from the living space, yet still close, just a loft away (as they say). This can also double as a guest room. The kitchen is full service with stainless steel Blomberg appliances: range/oven and refrigerator. It also includes a dishwasher and gloss lacquer white cabinets. The unit also features in-unit laundry (with Blomberg washer/dryer) and a breezy private deck, as well as private entryway with video intercom system and stairway. Although street parking is permitted (allowed and requiring a permit), we will secure a parking permit for our future tenant.

Views from the apartment are bright and unobstructed; you will not need to crank every lamp in the house in this apartment.
